Hana translates from Japanese to English as flower and is a monochrome collection of illustrative florals crafted with tape embroidery and intricate panel work. Our design team created the Hana collection drawing from the season's theme of Japan's seasonal impermanence and its influence on Japanese culture and art.
The Hana Shirt is cut from cotton lawn and is designed for an off-body profile with a soft circular feel, emphasised by a curved hemline. It features an impactful monochrome floral design created using panels of katsuragi, a soft cotton with a medium handle, which sits uninterrupted thanks to a hidden placket. The shirt is finished with fully pintucked sleeves and a point collar.
